Want to know the secret to free advertising?
Free advertising; sounds a bit contradictory doesn’t it?
Well there is a number of ways it can be achieved. Subscribing to the free advertising programs is always an option and they are very good and provide an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded people. A lot of the people we encounter in the programs are very knowledgeable and very friendly. So we could do a lot worse.
Then, of course we can spend hours, days, weeks clicking on traffic exchange pages to attempt to increase traffic to sales pages. A lot of people believe that this is the best way to secure sales and subscribers. Although it can be very effective isn’t everyone doing this for the same reason, kind of cancels itself out wouldn’t you say. The ratio of time spent clicking to actual subscribers can make it seem monotonous and ineffectual. This can be very disheartening. All that said it is a way of increasing traffic but unless you’ve got something that no-one else has and that everyone wants then its a little naïve to expect spectacular results.
Using safe lists and the traffic exchanges to capture names and create lists is another recommended method. Again though, unless your product is unique and totally desirable the results to work ratio is quite small. It does work, but it also takes months.
All of these methods are used every day to good effect because we all know that you can’t get something for nothing. Hard work equals results……eventually.
So what’s the alternative to hard work? The answer is to pay a little money for software or manuals that are specifically designed to do the job. There are a lot of e-books and software out there and most are very effective but you shouldn’t have to pay a fortune and neither should you have to spend your money on something that might work. You need proven sales methods and tac tics. If this can’t be ably demonstrated then you’re wasting your money. I’m sure that’s just common sense but there seems to be a multitude of manuals and software that makes huge promises that may or may not deliver.
The first and most important aspect is to promote exclusive content. Lots of promotions are for the same things and you could purchase something from one place that you can pick up for free somewhere else. This seems to be quite common. So affiliating yourself with products that are only available from one place is an excellent step forward as is affiliating with someone who has proven sales ability. Perhaps this sounds unlikely but it is possible.
There are a number of proven internet gurus who have made fortunes in online sales because they have excellent sales ability. Their advertising works and they build a steady subscriber base. But this isn’t the norm. Most of them will readily share their knowledge and give great assistance and advice. But there is one affiliate program that really stands out.
